AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
by Brad Bishop
“The movie has you guessing again and again as to when this ultimate villain will be finally be stopped, while Thanos grows closer and closer to his achieving his ultimate goal.“
I give this film
This movie is one of the best ones in the Avengers series. The film begins off with Thanos, played by (Josh Brolin), taking over Thor's(Chris Hemsworth) ship. Thanos having already obtained the Power Stone, uses it to overpower and kill all of the Asgardians that had escaped from Asgard in the previous movie Thor: Ragnarok. Leaving only Thor, Loki(Tom Hiddleston), Heimdall (Idris Elba) and the Hulk, played by (Mark Ruffalo) the only ones left to survive. They band together to keep Thanos away from the second Infinity Stone.
Their failure results in Thanos escaping with the second stone and continuing his quest for the other four stones. But, not before Heimdall sends the Hulk to Earth to warn the rest of the Avengers. This was a great start to the beginning of the movie as it shows quite the opposite of a typical heroes film. That being, the heroes winning, like they do in most films.
The Hulk/Bruce Banner crash lands into Doctor Strange's(Benedict Cumberbatch) Sanctum in New York, while he is meeting with Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). After informing them about Thanos they decide it is time to band together the rest of the Avengers in order to stop him from obtaining the rest of the Infinity Stones. Their alliance is short lived when Thanos comes to earth with his team The Black Order, who help him seek out the Infinity Stones that are stashed away on Earth.
The film gathers the most Marvel characters in one film than ever before. Some are only in for a moment, but nonetheless they all play a crucial role to stop Thanos from completing his ultimate goal, which is to wipe out half of all existence. Another character you can see in the film is Peter Parker/Spider-man(Tom Holland) one of the best actors to play Spider-man. Thank you for taking Sony Pictures' acclaimed Spider-man(Tobey Maguire)'s place!
Other characters in Infinity War include Black Widow(Scarlett Johansson), War machine(Don Cheadle), Captain America(Chris Evans), Black Panther(Chadwick Boseman), Vision(Paul Bettany), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier(Sebastian Stan) and even including the all of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill/Star-Lord(Chris Pratt), Gamora(Zoe Saldana), Drax(Dave Bautista), Rocket voiced by (Bradley Cooper), and (Groot) voiced by (Vin Diesel). The Guardians of the Galaxy really played an important roll in the film. Them being the ones that come closest to nearly stopping Thanos. The movie has you guessing again and again as to when this ultimate villain will be finally be stopped, while Thanos grows closer and closer to his achieving his ultimate goal.
After seeing this movie I left the theater blown away. It makes me continuously guess how the rest of Infinity Wars will play out. The film definitely calls for a sequel and many questions come to play, wondering if this is absolute end for some of the characters. The film is nearly 2 and a half hours long and is worth watching again and again, because the action scenes and the story are by far, the most compelling in the Marvel series.
